NEW PROGRAMS FOR SUMC PRESCHOOL - ENROLL NOW 
The Stratford United Methodist Preschool is starting a new 2’s program 2 to 3
mornings a week. Bright classroom with separate playground. Classes for 3’s, 4’s
and Pre-K are also available.  See preschool page for objectives

Music Note

PROJECT LEARN 30th ANNIVERSARY & FALL BENEFIT CONCERT
Friday, October 3, 2014 7 to 9 pm 
Come support this important program and enjoy and enjoy an evening of
wonderful music to be held in the Sanctuary featuring David Harris & Jodi Keogan!
                                       ALL ARE WELCOME
Tickets are $25 per adult - $10 children 12 and under and available at the door.
                           Reception to follow Performance

POT LUCK LUNCH

WORLD COMMUNION SUNDAY
Sunday, October 5th, 2014
There will be a Potluck Luncheon after the 10 a.m. service in the fellowship hall.
The membership committee will be providing the main dish and the dessert. We would like to ask you to bring a side dish. We hope that you will join in this time for fellowship.

Please let Ruth Bentley or Deborah Salsman know how many will be coming by September 28th so they can plan on how many people will attend. You can do this by  filling out the form in your church bulletin or calling the church office.

Stepping Out

UMW ANUAL FRIENDSHIP BANQUET - STEPPING OUT 
Friday October 10th with the Red Carpet at 6.00 and dinner at 6:30
You can dress Up for Glamour Shots on the Red Carpet (opens at 6)
by a professional photographer or not as you wish.
The dinner
is an informal event, family and friends are very welcome.
Tickets $12 (8 and under free) sold after church service or
call the church office for more info.

Saturday, October 11th at 9 am
Please plan on coming to help unload and to come and buy or help sell the pumpkins during the month

JACK-0-LANTERN CONTEST AND TRUNK OR TREAT
Sunday, October 26th from 4 pm to 7 pm 

Our first ever JACK-O-LANTERN CONTEST, prizes will be a warded! If you would like to enter please bring it to the church on Sunday, October 26th. A Jack-Lantern carving station will be available in our Pumpkin Patch or you can bring yours already carved. All entries must be completed and submitted by 4 pm on the 26th.

Lighting and judging will begin at dusk

Trunk or Treat begins at 4 pm and there will be a Costume Parade!

Holiday Boutique

SUMC ANNUAL HOLIDAY BOUTIQUE
Opening on Saturday, November 1st from 10 am to 4 pm
On that date the Stratford Women's Club will have their annual Craft Fair
 at our church. As we did last year , we will have our Holiday Boutique open in the
Friendship Room during the Fair. S.U.M.C.’s Holiday Boutique will also be open during the holiday season on Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm and on Sundays
after the church service until Christmas.
In addition, the Boutique will be open during our Christmas on Main celebration on Sunday, December 14th.

If anyone has any new or slightly used holiday items, or hand-crafted items you
wish to donate, you may bring them to the Church Office and label them Boutique.
